Peningkatan Pengetahuan Manajemen Laktasi Melalui Konseling Berbasis Booklet di PMB Fitri Susanti Palembang

Abstract

Pengetahuan mengenai manajemen laktasi perlu dibangun sejak kehamilan dan diperkuat pada masa nifas agar ibu siap menghadapi masalah menyusui. Hasil evaluasi awal di PMB Fitri Susanti Palembang menunjukkan 19 dari 30 peserta (63,3%) belum mencapai kategori pengetahuan baik. Mendeskripsikan perubahan pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester III dan ibu nifas segera setelah konseling manajemen laktasi berbasis booklet. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan pada Juni 2026 dengan evaluasi satu kelompok pretest–posttest. Sebanyak 30 peserta mengikuti pretest, konseling individual menggunakan booklet, demonstrasi teknik menyusui dengan phantom bayi, diskusi, dan posttest. Kelompok usia dominan adalah 20–35 tahun dan pendidikan dominan SMA/sederajat. Instrumen evaluasi internal berisi 10 pertanyaan dan digunakan sama pada kedua pengukuran. Rekap agregat dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan rata-rata, frekuensi, persentase, dan selisih absolut. Rata-rata skor pengetahuan berubah dari 51 sebelum edukasi menjadi 87 sesudah edukasi, atau meningkat 36 poin. Peserta pada kategori pengetahuan baik bertambah dari 11 orang (36,7%) menjadi 27 orang (90,0%), setara dengan peningkatan 53,3 poin persentase. Terjadi peningkatan deskriptif pada skor pengetahuan segera setelah konseling. Hasil ini belum menunjukkan perubahan praktik atau cakupan ASI eksklusif dan perlu dikonfirmasi melalui evaluasi lanjutan.
